Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI)

09Nordic-MUbio offers exclusive access to a range of highly sited monoclonal antibodies from academia.

The Netherlands Cancer Institute (Nederlands Kanker Instituut: NKI), a centre of international scientific and clinical excellence, celebrated its centenary this year. Over those 100 years the NKI has been at the forefront of cancer research, covering areas from radiology to immunology and biochemistry. Nordic-MUbio has an exclusive licensing agreement with the NKI, bringing a range of proven, reliable, and high quality monoclonal antibodies to the market.

High quality research requires reliable, high quality, reagents. However being at the forefront of research means they aren’t always commercially available, so, like many institutes, the NKI turned some of its expertise over to developing their own. The result was a suite of monoclonal antibodies whose use has now been cited in more than 1000 papers by researchers across the world.

The antibodies cover a range of focuses including cell adhesion, cell differentiation, cytoskeleton, immune cell function, and transcription factors, as well as validated for a number of applications including ELISA, Western Blotting and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Throughout this range the products are deeply embedded in the literature.

For example, NCI’s monoclonal antibody (clone LG.3A10) against CD27 (Catalogue number MUB0365P), a member of the TNF-superfamily of proteins required for long term maintenance of T-cell immunity, has been cited over 200 times since its development, and proven for use in a number of applications including ELISA, flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.

Nordic-MUbio is pleased to offer exclusive commercial access to this suite of over 50 unique, highly referenced, primary antibody clones from the NKI. And like all Nordic-MUbio products they are manufactured according to strict ISO 9001 quality guidelines, bringing lot-to-lot consistency.
