Chicken anti MTBE
Catalogue number: C34p
|Product Type ||Primary Antibodies|
|Units||1 ml |
|Application ||Immuno affinity chromatography|
MTBE, methyl-tert-butylether is used in the laboratory as a solvent. In addition it is used as an additive for gasoline. It is found as a contaminant in ground water and as such poses a threat for the production of drinking water.
Chicken egg yolk, purified by PEG extraction.
Each vial contains 1 ml 5mg/ml of purified (PEG) polyclonal antibody
The antibody may be used in IAC.
The titer of the antibody solution is 2,000, which means that the antibody should be diluted 2,000 times for 50 % binding.
Immunogen: BSA-tert.Butyl Carbamide, Target: MTBE, CAS no.: 1634-04-4, Solubility: Ethers, Alcohol, most organic solvents.
Store at 4 °C or aliquot and store at -20 °C for longer periods.
Precautions should be taken upon storage for longer periods. Problems of long term stability may occur with highly diluted solutions.
No other preservative agent has been added to the present formulation.
For long storage purposes in solution the addition of sodium azide at 0.02 % is advised with the appropriate precautions of use.
This product is intended FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY, and FOR TESTS IN VITRO, not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures involving humans or animals.
This product contains sodium azide. To prevent formation of toxic vapors, do not mix with strong acidic solutions. To prevent formation of potentially explosive metallic azides in metal plumbing, always wash into drain with copious quantities of water.
